“My shift that day was relatively calm. We only had a couple of assists. I remember the driver's anger when we cleaned the ambulance after our first outing. Embedded in a gap between the sheet metal of a refrigerated drawer and the gurney was a cassette tape with all the bad looks you can imagine. It had no box, it was black with some remnains of what was once a white label, or perhaps yellow. It seemed more that they had kept it for thirty years in a plastic bag that they also used to store food, since the stains were of all colors including a suspicious dark red line with relief. They were clots, or pieces of viscera, after my partner's comment, and seeing that among the scribbles I had everywhere, including some scratched with an awl on the plastic, I could read the word "Spektrum", I could not resist the temptation to put it in a bag away from the garbage.
The truth is that I forgot the matter, because I did not get to pick up the tape that day. I would lie to you if I said that I did not think at some point that it would be interesting to try to load it on my Spectrum, but the conversation, the meals together with colleagues from the hospital and the entire liturgy of the shift erased that tape from my head, which probably had belonged to the patient that they told me about the previous shift.
It was a sleepless night, while I was wondering what the hell I was doing with my life, and the tiredness, fear and retching were corroding me more than the powder of gloves on my skin, when I found the «Spektrum» tape in a shoe box . Perhaps an evil force made of iron and chrome made it appear there.
Its author or authors are not identified, nor the year of production. There are details that might lead to the thought that it is a conversion of an old arcade game, due to the similarity of certain graphic resources that were used in primitive vector games. AGD is not a suitable engine for this type of game, an issue that we have tried to compensate for using our own tricks.
So, at your own risk, we present you El Día de los Muertos / The Day of the Dead”

- The object of the game is to prevent 100 drops from spilling of blood. However this is unavoidable if you play for long enough, so this is a high score game where the objective is to get the best score before using up the 100 spilled drops.
-The direction of the chalice where the drops are collected can be altered by the dynamics of the game itself by pressing "Q" and "W". To change the shape of it go to the left or right side of the screen.
Both a Spanish and a German version is available.
The game was made by Manu Sevilla and released for Halloween in 2020 and can be downloaded here: http://www.bytemaniacos.com/?page_id=3846
