Interview Mrs Browns Boys Movie with cast Brendan O'Carroll and Jennifer Gibney for the spin off movie of the Bafta winning BBC & RTE TV show.
Shot in Moore Street and in Dublin city fruit markets, the Mrs Brown film will premiere in Dublin at the Savoy cinema this month and will play Irish cinemas nationwide.
In 1992 he ended up writing a three-minute long soap opera by chance for Gareth O'Callaghan's drive-time show on 2FM which slowly evolved into the Mrs Brown's Boys format we know today. That led to a series of books 'The Mammy', 'The Chisellers', 'The Granny', and 'The Young Wan' which in turn inspired a dramatic movie 'Agnes Brown' starring Anjelica Huston and the hugely successful stage shows, which have since toured the world. It was at a 2009 stage performance in a Glasgow theatre where BBC producer Stephen McCrum discovered the show and immediately went backstage and pitched the idea of a BBC sitcom to Brendan. The rest is history!
