...welp, we're back here again after more than a year. When MultiVersus hit the ground running back in 2022 with its open beta I was sure it would stick around for quite a while and I was hoping I'd be playing for a long time. But issues kept cropping up, content dried up and eventually the game was shut down for a year as the devs worked on the "official" launch of the game. You know, despite the fact the game hit version 1.0 like a week into the open beta, it had full achievement and trophy support, multiple balance patches and characters added, not to mention a TON of monetization. Certainly felt like a full release then!

The year of waiting has come and gone and uh...MultiVersus' return is...a lot messier than I would have liked. The game has seen some improvements, but so many downgrades and jarring changes that this feels far more like a beta release than the old beta at times. I go over it long enough in the video, but the game is a LOT slower, characters are bigger and there's way more hitstun, making for a very different feeling game. New modes and tweaks to monetization showcase that the game is still a huge grind and to be completely honest...I'm not sure if I'll stick with this for too much longer.

With that said uh....enjoy these matches? I might look back at this game again when the new season starts up but uh until then...I'm gonna just grind out my dailies and contemplate where my life went so wrong.
