Extended Banner Soldiers can have a major impact on the difficulty of a wave, as not only do they shoot rockets at you but have a prolonged banner secondary buff. Depending on what they are with and how many Extended Banners there are, can have a major impact on the other robots in the subwave, be it giving them damage recovery, minicrits or damage reduction with crit immunity.
Extended Concheror Soldiers have the least impact of the 3 but still shouldn't be underestimated for the speed boost has a high impact for giant robots.
Extended Buffs tend to lead to more players dying especially if they don't have crit resistance upgraded.
Extended Backup Soldiers make everything harder to kill and be immune to crits. Which makes playing sniper a living hell. And can be pretty painful for everyone else as well.
Spamming banner soldiers with strong dps robots can lead to some frustration.
Predictably all 3 types at once can be a real pain to deal with.
Ohh and don't forget that giant versions exist.
(Note that I have high upgrades fighting against robots I can fairly easily dodge.)
