"My Ancient T.V." Playing Battletoads (2020)
1Kind of amazing that not a whole lot was spoiled for me when it came to this game. I had wanted to play it when it first came out but didn't have a powerful enough machine. Now I do. My only exposure where the previews, what little of the game I could get to run and a review by Zero Punctuation. Didn't spoil the story and the gripes with the game could be applied to all in the franchise really. I had a lot of fun with this. I love the writing, the new animation style, the voices of the toads and even their personalities. Just need to rig up a half way decent controller, and only watch the CRT TV. Far less input lag and just beautifully fits the style. Not sure if the game got any high praise as I heard no one talk about it after it's release, but for my money, they did a fantastic job.
