"My Ancient T.V." Playing Battletoads and Double Dragon
6I thought the original game pushed the hardware to it's limits, but this one goes even further. I don't know much about the technical aspects of this game, but I figure it has to be more than a standard N.E.S. cartridge inside.
That aside, I think this is one fantastic game. Much like the Original Battletoads, the levels have a lot of variety but unlike the original the emphasis is on the Beat 'em up aspect.
When discussing this game, I think it's very important to say which platform. It was on Gameboy, N.E.S., Genesis and S.N.E.S. Personally I'd say the N.E.S. and the Genesis version are on par with each other. In the S.N.E.S. Title, the character sprite is bigger but the levels are the same size. Plus so many sound effects have been removed. Genisis has it all along with the N.E.S. version. The Gameboy version I think is more of a curiosity than anything else. It's not bad, but there were far superior options. Until next time, keep having fun.
