My first game on a motorless treadmill review
11I finished my first game on a motorless treadmill - it's called Firewatch. Firewatch is a great hiking game, it's essentially a walking simulator with a plot. You can also run in it and use it as a running simulator as well, but I preferred walking/hiking in it. Exploring the national park with my "VR" treadmill device.
Moving the character with a motorless treadmill is a concept I worked out for getting in shape while playing video games, and this is actually the first game I'm reviewing while using this treadmill-to-video-games solution. Firewatch is the PERFECT game as a walking simulator, even better than the vanishing of Ethan Carter since the plot keeps going and it's not overly complicated (the vanishing of Ethan Carter is much more complicated)... you get a compass, a map, and you're hiking along the trail of Shoshone National Forest in the state of Wyoming. This is actually a REAL place; that forest. I really enjoyed "3D walking" in that environment. Getting in shape while walking in 3D virtual environment games is a lot of fun and I feel like I'm losing weight :)
