My Thoughts On Nintendo Switch 2 So Far
17The Nintendo Switch 2 was finally revealed yesterday, here is a short video where I talk about my thoughts and opinions.
While I did have fun watching the reveal and thought the games looked great, I am worried about the price. 450 dollars seems expensive and they might price out too many consumers. And games range from 70-90 dollars! Mario Kart World will be 80 dollars, that is pricey! But I loved seeing all the first party games, the third party games, and the Indies! Super Mario Kart World looked great, it looks like a fun new spin on the franchise with a large scope. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond looks fantastic. Kirbys Air Ride is back and Masahiro Samurai is producing. Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment looks great! I am worried about the new Donkey Kong Bananza game. I am a big fan of the Rareware and the Retro Studios Donkey Kong Country Games. I especially like the mood and vibe of DKC trilogy and Donkey kong 64. The new design is weird, but we will have to see how it turns out.
They also revealed many games from partners and third parties like Hollow Knight Silksong, Final Fantasy 7 remake, Elden Ring, Hades 2, Split fiction, Project 007, Deltarune, Borderlands 4, and more. Also, Gamecube games are coming to NSO like Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker, Soul Calibur 4 with Link as a playable character, F-Zero GX and many more. Voice Chat is better now. It can go up to 4K and 120 FPS.
I have issues and worries, but I am optimistic about the next generation for Nintendo.
