Here is a list of my top most memorable and greatest six intros in gaming. This will be of games in general, not just RPGs, so keep that in mind.

This is a list of not only some of the best intros in my opinion, but also ones that are very memorable to me.

This list is also different from another list I might do someday, which is the great intro themes in gaming, which will focuses more on music then the intro overall, which might answer the question of why some intros aren't on this list.

So let's go with the explanation. Please stop from reading at this time if you do not want to be spoiled until after the video.

#6. The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past - This intro basically started up the game for you, with a great intro storyline, nice cinematics, and good music to get you into the start of the game and the intro itself, it really is a memoralbe and great intro.

#5. Chrono Trigger - This is a basic intro that shows scenes from the game, with some credits, for the intro, but what really drives the intro to this epic game is the music. Once you watched that intro, chances are you were hooked for some action and an epic story and game altogether, which is what you got an more.

#4. Lunar: The Silver Star and Silver Star Story Complete - This is one of two intros that defined my childhood in RPGs and is perhaps my most memorable one. Epic song, scene overall is awesome. However, this is a tie with the PSX intro of Lunar. Most people who know me know I hate the PSX remake for various reason I will not go into in this video. However, I do have to admit, if there is ONE good thing to come from the PSX version, it's the intro, which is just awesome and does have that Lunar feel to it. I still will prefer the Sega CD version because of how memorable it is, but the PSX version is just as great.

#3. Final Fantasy X - Technically it's not an intro as it's roughly 10-15 minutes into the game, but it sets the tone for the rest of the game and really gets the game going, so it's an intro for me. This is a great opening to the intro itself, awesome music, and action with it. And just so you all know. Yes, I really, really enjoy Blitzball.

#2. Sonic CD - Personally I have to words for this intro. Just watch and enjoy. Everything about it is top notch.

#1. Lufia: The Fortress of Doom - This is perhaps THE intro that defined my childhood in gaming and still does today. The music during this intro is memorable along with the story of the Sinistrals being unstoppable. Once the story is completed about the world calling forth their strongest warriors, the game instantly switches inside the fortress with Lufia's iconic song "The Last Duel" playing, and the first lines are said by the characters that any Lufia fan can quote to this day. Not to mention the fact that your playing a party that is in the high level 70s for the first part of this game you knew you were in for something amazing.
