물길을 가로막는 기둥을 부수어 마을을 복원하는 퍼즐 게임입니다. 기둥에는 보석이 박혀 있으며, 각 스테이지에서는 우측 그림 속 숫자와 동일하게 보석의 위치를 조정하여야 합니다. 목표는 기둥 사이의 보석을 이동시키며 정해진 배치를 완성하는 것입니다.
게임의 핵심은 보석을 이동하여 올바른 위치에 배치하는 것입니다. 보석이 있는 기둥을 먼저 선택한 후, 이동할 기둥을 선택하면 두 기둥 사이의 거리만큼 보석이 이동합니다. 예를 들어, 바로 옆 기둥으로 이동하면 보석 1개, 1칸 떨어진 기둥으로 이동하면 보석 2개, 2칸 떨어진 기둥으로 이동하면 보석 3개가 이동하는 식입니다. 다만, 이동하려는 기둥의 보석 수가 부족하면 이동이 불가능합니다.
특히, 기둥 사이에 화살표가 있을 경우 이동 방향이 제한될 수 있습니다. 화살표가 양방향이면 상관없지만 단방향일 경우에는 지정된 방향으로만 이동이 가능합니다. 이러한 규칙을 활용하여 보석을 적절히 분배하고 이동 경로를 설정해야 합니다.
정해진 보석 배치를 모두 완료하면 스테이지가 클리어되며, 기둥이 파괴되면서 물길이 열리고 황폐했던 마을이 다시 살아나는 장면이 연출됩니다. 이러한 진행 방식을 통해 각 스테이지를 클리어하며 마을을 하나씩 복구해 나가는 것이 게임의 주요 흐름입니다.
게임은 직관적인 퍼즐 구조를 가지고 있으나, 스테이지 구성이 반복적이고 신규 규칙 도입이 적어 다소 단조롭게 느껴질 수 있습니다. 또한, 진행 중 힌트 기능이 없어서 막힐 때 답답함을 줄 수 있습니다. 초반에 언어 선택에서 조작 불가 오류가 발생하는 경우도 있어, 컨트롤러 연결로만 진행이 가능한 문제도 개선이 필요합니다.

Mystic Pillars is a puzzle game where you break obstructive pillars to restore the water flow and revive a desolate village. Each pillar holds jewels, and your goal in each stage is to rearrange the jewels to match the numbers shown in the picture on the right. To complete the stage, you must strategically move jewels between pillars and achieve the correct arrangement.
The core gameplay involves selecting a pillar with jewels and then choosing another pillar to move them to. The number of jewels moved corresponds to the distance between the pillars: moving to an adjacent pillar transfers 1 jewel, moving one space away transfers 2 jewels, and moving two spaces away transfers 3 jewels. However, if the selected pillar has fewer jewels than needed, the move cannot be executed.
Movement can be restricted by arrows between pillars. If the arrow is bidirectional, you can move in either direction. If it’s unidirectional, you must follow the specified path. Properly managing these movement rules is essential to complete the puzzles efficiently.
Once the jewel arrangement matches the given pattern, the stage is cleared, the obstructing pillar is destroyed, and the water flow is restored, bringing the village back to life. Watching the once desolate landscape bloom again provides a rewarding visual progression.
Despite its elegant mechanics, the game can feel repetitive since new puzzle elements are introduced sparingly, and the lack of a hint system can make some stages frustrating. Additionally, a bug in the language selection screen can make the game unplayable with a mouse or keyboard, requiring a controller to proceed.
