Mythrax Guide - Normal and Heroic Mythrax the Unraveler Uldir Boss Guide
3,393Mythrax Normal and Mythrax Heroic guide! Mythrax the Unraveler is a raid boss in the Uldir raid of BfA. This Mythrax the Unraveler boss guide will show you the Mythrax abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Mythrax fight. Mythic Mythrax has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Mythrax guide. Footage of Mythrax for this boss guide is from two separate raid testing dates - the lighter, bluer looking footage with the '14' on the calendar is the more recent footage with more up to date visuals of the various Mythrax the Unraveler mechanics.
The Mythrax fight takes place at the bottom of a pit. On the Battle for Azeroth beta, you actually needed to jump into the pit and take significant fall damage, and doing so started the fight. Presumably that'll be fixed when Mythrax is on live because it was bypassable by having someone stand up (either a Shaman or someone with a Lock stone) and mass res the group on the floor.
Annihilation and Existence Spheres are key to this fight. Run through Existence Spheres to reduce your stacks of Annihilation- but leave plenty of Spheres for the tanks!
Mythrax the Unraveler is a two phase fight. In Phase One you fight Mythrax directly. The tank should face him away from the group and tank swap after Essence Shear. Everyone should dodge Obliteration Blast, targets of Imminent Ruin should run out of the group to the edges and Oblivion Sphere victims need to be knocked away from the spheres. Spread 5 yards or more in this phase to reduce the amount of people hit by Oblivion Spheres.
Phase Two is when Mythrax becomes nearly immune to damage and summons adds. Kill the adds, dodge the Obliteration Beam and continue dealing with Imminent Ruin and Oblivion Spheres. Mythrax will eventually return to Phase One and alternate between the two until the fight ends.
Heroic Mythrax has only one mechanic over Normal Mythrax - Essence Shatter. AT 20% health Heroic Mythrax prevents any more Existence Spheres from being generated, increasing the urgency of the final burn phase.
