Zul Guide - Normal and Heroic Zul, Reborn Uldir Boss Guide
4,054Zul Normal and Zul Heroic guide! Zul, Reborn is a raid boss in the Uldir raid of BfA. This Zul, Reborn boss guide will show you the Zul abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Zul fight. Mythic Zul has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Zul guide. I did not have any footage of Phase Two so I've made creative use of stick figures to illustrate Zul's Phase Two mechanics.
The Zul fight is filled with adds, and staying on top of all of them is crucial to success. The Nazmani Crushers do a frontal cleave to watch out for, and should be pulled away from everything for their Thrumming Pulse cast at full energy if they get there. They need a tank, so one tank should have the boss while the other takes the Crusher.
The Nazmani Bloodhexers cast Bloodshard which should be kicked and summon Ichor adds which should be slowed and killed to prevent them from reaching the boss. Killing (or CC-ing) Blood Hexers is important since letting Ichor adds channel into Zul will heal him indefinitely.
Bloodthirsty Crawgs can be tanked along with Zul and cleaved down with him- but focus damage may be necessary to break through their 200% lifesteal from Hungering Maw, and they should die before they cap on energy and start exploding.
Minions of Zul are spawned from the Dark Revelation debuff in Phase One, and the Death Wish debuff in Phase Two. They are killed by dispels, so Mass Dispel, Arcane Torrent or single target dispels like Purge should be used to clean them up. They AOE fear if they touch players so take them out quickly. Priests are hyper valuable in the Zul encounter because of their Mass Dispel.
