Heya everybody! How are you all today?
Ugh, so I need help. I've been feeling under the weather lately and yesterday/the day before ish I put together that I probably have tonsillitis. Again. So I'm not feeling great because of general sickness. I kinda wanted to just call in sick today, honestly, because that would be a nice thing right about now and get some time to rest and maybe start to feel a little better. Maybe be able to get rid of the sick before the weekend. But I haven't called in yet, and its about 9am now. I work at 11am, and originally it was only going to be a short shift until 4pm which is only five hours which isn't bad really at all. But now my manager just asked me if I could work until 7pm, so a full eight hour shift, and while I'm sure I could do it, I'm also sure I'd feel like shit doing so. I'm honestly just sitting here sniffling away. Work hasn't been very busy the last couple days and thursday nights are usually pretty easy though, so it's not like I'd have a tough day on my hands. But I don't know if it's because of the tonsillitis or another thing I have going on that if it turns out to be an actually bad thing I'll mention then but not yet, every time I try and swallow -my saliva or water you guys sheesh- my throat kinda does this thing and it's really hard to do so. Like my throat is swelling shut ish, I guess. But this isn't an uncommon phenomenon for me and I know how to deal with it, I just have to drink a fuck ton of water to stop it from swelling and making it hard to swallow.
Ugh, it's just a hard decision because I know I can and but I don't want to. But the fact that they are asking me to come in longer means that someone else probably called in sick already. I just always feel bad and I hate inconveniencing people.
Honestly, if I called in sick entirely I would go to the walk in so they can double check for the tonsillitis and then I would rest the whole day, I swear. Well, maybe I'd draw/write a little. But that's it!
