Getting ahold of this was tough. I had to ask a JP friend to buy me E-Shop prepaid cards, so that I could buy this at a reasonable price. Most anticipated game of 2023 for me. I loved Boku Natsu 3. Haven't played the others yet. This seems nice, so far. The presentation is much nicer and world much bigger than I imagined. I haven't grasped the full scope yet, but it seems like there are lots of things to do. Music and sound design are really nice. I was surprised at how it's nearly fully voiced. Shame the detective club kids are not. I think I already like all the characters.
The player direction controls feel a little stiff/awkward at times, but it's nothing game breaking. Frame rate is a little nasty in open areas, but maybe it'll get better in later updates. It uses Unreal Engine. I don't have a feel for the passage of time yet (I set it to relaxed speed). There's a lot of running from point A to B, which I'm not too fond of. But it seems to be a very nice world. I'm a little concerned that there's too much bug catching/fishing compared to other activities. I think Boku Natsu 3 had better pacing in that regard. But I can't say for sure yet. Maybe it's just me. Oh, I'm also sad that there doesn't seem to be Insect Sumo.
I decided not to use avatar because I think there's not much point and it'd just get in the way of the game. I waited at the title screen because I though maybe they'd be a little demo like previous games, but there wasn't. Stopped playing for now, because kinda tired and hungry. I considered adding some English subtitles, but there's a lot of text and someone else will probably do it. An English version will probably be announced soon, too.
