In an era where harmful information, misinformation and disinformation can exacerbate humanitarian crises, this session explores the complex interplay between technology and truth. Artificial Intelligence is both a challenge and a tool in this landscape—fueling the spread of false narratives while also offering innovative solutions to detect and combat them. Join experts in humanitarian action, technology, and communication as they discuss how AI shapes the fight against misinformation, the ethical implications of its use, and strategies to harness its potential for good in crisis response. This event delves into how AI can be used for anticipatory action in humanitarian contexts, including monitoring and assessment. It will cover predictive analytics and early warning systems, providing participants with practical insights and tools to enhance their crisis response capabilities.
