NBA 2K2 (Dreamcast vs PS2) Player Introduction Comparison
NOTE: My replacement computer isn't that good, so there may be some framerate stuttering, and visual glitches in this vid that aren't there in the original games.
This is a comparison of the player introductions for the Dreamcast and PS2 versions of NBA 2k2.
This is Visual Concepts' third generation graphics engine on the Dreamcast going up against their first generation PS2 game engine which they ported to the PS2 in six months time.
I'm just showing the introduction in this vid, because I'm going to upload a gameplay vid next, and it would have made the vid too long, so I split them into two. The introductions give you a good look at the player models in the game.
Overall, the Dreamcast version has a brighter color pallet, and the jerseys look to be slightly more detailed because you can see the little holes in them. Other than that, the PS2 version has beefed up player models, better lighting, and more stuff going on on the sidelines.
NOTE: For this comparison I'm using a S-Video cable for the PS2, and S-Video through the VGA Box for the Dreamcast.
