Thousands of Filipinos, led by students and youth groups, flooded the streets of Manila in a massive rally against corruption dubbed the "National Day of Action Against Corruption." Protesters called for justice and accountability, chanting slogans like “Jail the corrupt” and demanding the removal of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Organized by Kilusang Bayan Kontra Kurakot (People’s Movement Against Corruption), the demonstration highlighted public outrage over billions of pesos allegedly lost to 'ghost' infrastructure projects recently exposed in a Senate investigation.
Speakers from activist groups, including Panday Sining and the College Editors Guild of the Philippines, called for collective action and said Gen Z is rising up to end the country's "rotten system."
