Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit - Beta Demo (Build Date: 1998/07/15)
21The loading screen states that it is a beta from June 15th 1998, but actual build date is July 15th. The HUD is updated and looks much closer to the release build (September 3rd).

Noticeable differences:
- Loading screen is similar to the PS1 version.
- The countdown voice is from the PS1 version.
- Early WIP version of the pause menu.
- The physics is unpolished and clumsy, somewhat closer to the NFS2.
- The beginning flyby camera is different.
- Cops use a Lamborghini Diablo SV to chase you.
- When you are caught, the cop voice is different.
- There is no cop radar (which detects how close cops are).
- HUD is much closer to the final version of the game.
