Blackridge is celebrating 25 years of Need For Speed by hosting tournaments every day featuring events inspired by the best and most popular titles in the series, and Kim's cut you deal of securing a highly coveted Bugatti Chiron if you win them all. Today, it's Shift: Driver Duels, Drift Trials, Endurance Races, and Manufacturer Competitions - they're all here. Need For Speed Shift was released in 2009 as part of a 3-game announcement (Shift, Nitro, World) and a push into redeeming the series after ProStreet and Undercover fell short of expectations. Turning toward new developer Slightly Mad Studios (Project CARS), Shift swiftly became a success earning positive reviews, outselling other racing games of its time, and producing a sequel (Shift 2: Unleashed). Not entirely a sim racer, the game focused on introducing Simulation/Arcade handling and real world racing tracks along with track only works conversions to cars that included all the things you'd expect in track racing...including Engine Swaps.
