I’ve spent some hours reverse engineering the NEJE laser engraver protocol and wrote a simple Mac OS X application based on it.

This demonstration displays the visual feedback based on what the engraver says it’s been writing as well.

Feature wise it’s pretty much equivalent to the factory supplied windows host now (the only setting I haven’t replicated is the motor stepping setting; should be easy but I haven’t found a reason to change it yet…)

Latest version is available here. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=77329189466431957967

Drivers working with this version is

http://tzapu.com/2015/09/24/making-ch340-ch341-serial-adapters-work-under-el-capitan-os-x/ (I don't use these personally but it's said to work)

www.mac-usb-serial.com (I used these and it worked fine for me, I believe the alternative is just as good)
