Neon White part 7: Deliberate movements

Before heading into the final chapter, I wanted to see if I could get everything I could think of squared away, including all remaining gifts and ace medals up to this point.
Little did I know that doing so set me up to immediately have access to the game's true ending - which I wouldn't have realized at all if ei hadn't been around in chat to explain it. I was wondering if my up-front attempt at completionism would make it impossible to discern what it unlocks.
One other thing that my efforts clearly unlocked, however, is an extra rush mode that changes the missions up a bit and sounds pretty hilarious, so I'll have to give that a try before getting sucked back into individual level improvements.
Needless to say, I've enjoyed this game a ton. No other game of its ilk has managed to hook me whatsoever, but this hits a lot of the right notes, thanks to striking and high-contrast visual design, fluid level design, extremely satisfying mechanics, excellent sound design, incredibly strong voice work, and an awesome soundtrack. There was only really one instance I can remember where I truly felt like I encountered something poorly-designed that wasted multiple minutes of time in a frustrating way. That's pretty good for a nearly 30-hour run.
