I've had my eye on this hack for a while, curious to see to what extents it takes the "decision" premise.

So far I've only been confronted with one such "decision"; not every progression item requires sacrificing another. The choice I made was probably the less obvious of the two items in terms of its effect - I've seen plenty of opportunities to use the one I _didn't_ pick, though most of them I've been able to get around with advanced movement anyway.

This hack features a lot of remixed rooms from the original game, though it does significantly rearrange the map. Some room designs are unnecessarily obtuse and not well-conveyed, e.g. having to use an enemy to break blocks, and some blocks that are breakable or have no collision appearing no different than other blocks that are solid. Bosses also have modified rooms or health to make them more difficult.

I'm guessing I'm a little less than halfway through at this point, and I'm curious to see how many decisions there are, ultimately, and how much impact they have. It seems like the premise hasn't come into play too much yet, so I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop...
