Never Would I Ever - Toytally Fantasy
Issue 008 of this Animated Comic finally brings us back to the Scrapyard! Or just outside of it.
More familiar faces return alongside some new ones! Definitely keep some of them in mind, though my series does not have any true main characters.
Just a lot of toys and models that can be either main or supporting depending on the episode: All have equal footing in this world! It revolves around the concept of Sonder: That everyone you meet, including you, is the main character of their own story – so you never know who else will get featured!
In this case, the return of the B1 Battle Droid and Pokemon alongside a new Halo Grunt is more of a slice of life chapter with some lore sprinkled in.
Still should have enough dialogue and world mentions to be able to order this alongside other issues In the series. Since my comic animation is not in chronological order, I’m freer to choose what lore and settings get prioritized; Something to keep in mind!
I have a general plan for the first 10 episodes, but I need to get more setting variety in while focusing some central ones. The Roadrunner Wildlands is a very central area for this dubbed comic series, so there will be a lot of toy/model stuff in the future too. Both a mix of shorter and longer episodes.
As DDBuilds’ Flagship solo endeavor, Toytally Fantasy: A Ballad to Imagination is an Animated Comic Series that memorializes childhood playtime, but with an adult’s perspective in the narratives. While mainly light hearted and aiming to be an entertaining kick of nostalgia, this successor to Studs and Bolters aims to create many standalone episodes that piece together a vibrant world of toys and models. Rule of Cool and Creative Deviation form its foundation, where popular figures adapt and grow based on their new lives they lived - and the fellow toys and models they interact with!
