Learning Boss Fights from a Pro is the second episode of Toytally Fantasy. That said, watch order doesn’t matter.

Issue 002 of this Animated Comic introduces everyone to a Toy Household, namely House Roll4Fun. It follows a Lego Minifig and a painted D&D as they come across a board game boss miniature. Obviously this one takes more of its influence from both Dungeons & Dragons and Dark Souls games. Like other episodes, this takes place in the Roadrunner Wildlands – an unforgivingly hot landscape in the Southwest. They’re just indoors.

Though this is the second episode and an homage to both Souls like games and parodying asking randos for boss fight advice, I already made a few explorative tweaks to see how they work out. During creation, I also discovered a far faster way to do part of the workflow without sacrificing quality so that’ll be done from now on. Hopefully it means the comic’s animated panels will be even better than the first ones!

As DDBuilds’ Flagship solo endeavor, Toytally Fantasy: A Ballad to Imagination is an Animated Comic Series that memorializes childhood playtime, but with an adult’s perspective in the narratives. While mainly light hearted and aiming to be an entertaining kick of nostalgia, this successor to Studs and Bolters aims to create many standalone episodes that piece together a vibrant world of toys and models. Rule of Cool and Creative Deviation form its foundation, where popular figures adapt and grow based on their new lives they lived - and the fellow toys and models they interact with!
