Used actual ambient sound and hopefully balanced the volume well so it is not too loud. Headphone users take heed though.
This is a culmination of much. That's just the way I write.

Never Written to You
What my past has taken away
Leads me astray today as I kick aside
Muster up some courage to say
What was never written to you
Recall stepping around those times
That led to blame, inside aflame
Took a step back to smell your joy
As if only today mattered, despite stagnant rain
Your tiny piano songs always made me smile
Like today as I hold you close
To hold, comfort your fears away
Lemon in your tea scents, perfumes moments
Those moments I have written to you
Spilling it all, leading a way
To relief
Spilling over pages once dreamed, perhaps admired
Sideways, look at me in your especially pretty way
Stirring, tapping silver spoon
Startling fingers finally figured their majestic mantra
There is only one way to make up for what I never wrote
To you during those gloomy days
Turbulence, turbid waters drown my every day
Though you are there
Shelter me, sheltered us, from me
This face resembles a chaos rarely understood
I have never written to you as I do tonight
