New Action Roguelite Has Been Released From Early Access | Flame Keeper - Part 1
7Hello everyone! Here we are starting a game that has been released from Early Access. This is Flame Keeper, a pseudo-roguelite, working pretty similar to games like Cult of the Lamb or Children of Morta. There are different biomes, each one acting as a separate roguelite stage, where your main objective is to restore the fire, collecting lamps and lighting them on using your hp.
The idea of the game is pretty cool, and it looks great, with some nice background music. Gameplay feels decent, although I don't like that they force me to dash to the direction where I am attacking, nor the fact the I can't move while attacking (besides the dash). Also, the attack range is not intuitive at all, considering the animation goes way further than the hit itself. Enemies are not hard to deal with, which kinda makes sense because you are losing hp to unlock stuff and light the fire, so they don't want to punish you with hardcore action too.
Graphically looks great for a top-down action roguelite, and performance is algo great.
