Remove Sharpening, Please! | Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter demo
3Hello everyone! This one was one of my most anticipated demos for this Steam Next Fest, but I got disappointed :(. This is Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, a sequel for the well-known hard 2D Soulslike and it feels like their main objective here was just making the game harder... That's it. With that purpose they added the sharpening mechanic (you should know it if you have played Lies of P), where you need to sharpen your blade after using it a few times, because it degrades on use... The worst part of it is that you don't really hit that much before having to sharpen, so you will be doing it around 4-5 times per boss fight, which is quite annoying, considering how hard is to find a moment to attack in this game, and now you have to waste those instances in sharpening too.
Graphics are pretty much like in the first game and the boss fight was pretty awful. I went through the first game in the hardest difficulty, going through enjoyment and frustration at times, and I could beat the dlc with no issues, but this first boss was just annoying. Summoning enemies, flying, doing these body attacks that are inconsistent to avoid, or the summoned enemies attacking with two different types at the same time, and dealing with sharpening. For me, at least, just a frustrating experience.
