Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a groundbreaking action-adventure game released by Konami in 1997 for the PlayStation. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time, credited with redefining the Castlevania series and helping pioneer the "Metroidvania" subgenre.
