New Fates Collide Prerelease Information! + Lance's Dragonite Has Arrived!
14Welcome back, Pokémon Trainers! It's time again for a weekly news update video!
- Once again, I've got another Pokémon TCG booster pack to open up! This week is Roaring Skies, with the code card (as always) going out to one lucky viewer. I'll open up the booster near the end of the video, and give you viewers the Question of the Day for you to respond to. Leave your response in a comment down below using the hashtag #QOTD, and you'll be entered into the running to receive the code card (chosen randomly) when I do the drawing this coming Sunday, March 27th.
- In Pokémon Shuffle, a pair of Special Stages are currently available up until next Tuesday, March 29th. You can now battle Noivern in a timed battle, so bring your best team to combat this Flying-type Pokémon and try to capture it for your collection. Also available is another Pokémon Safari, in which you're limited to just 3 Pokémon on your team, and you do not have the luxury of the Optimize button, as the Pokémon you encounter each time will be randomly chosen from a select group. Fortunately, the Pokémon available - Houndour, Houndoom, Noibat, Pineco, Forretress, Hoothoot, and Noctowl - all seem to share a common weakness to Rock, so choose your best Rock-type Pokémon before going on Safari.
- The results of the Kanto Classic are in! If you competed in this nostalgia-filled online competition, head on over to the Pokémon Global Link website (linked below) to see where you placed in this competition, and to get the scoop on the most used Pokémon, their movesets, natures, and abilities. This also means that the participation prize, Lance's Dragonite, is now available for download! Log into your Pokémon Global Link account to retrieve your code to download Dragonite as a Mystery Gift into your Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire game.

- A new special collection box has been added to the Pokémon TCG gallery of products, in honor of the #Pokemon20 celebration. The Charizard-EX Red and Blue Collection features a new foil promo card of Charizard-EX, a fancy sculpted figure of Charizard, 4 Pokemon TCG: Generations booster packs, and a Pokemon TCG Online code card to unlock all these virtual goodies for your online collection. There are more of these collections planned to come later this year, and here's hoping we can hit 1,000 subscribers on this channel so that I can comemmorate the occasion by distributing one of these collections as a mail-out prize!
- Pokémon TCG prerelease events are getting a new format. Instead of the original routine of receiving 6 10-card booster packs of the upcoming set and forming a deck from those, players will now receive only 4 boosters, plus a special 22-card prerelease pack, which will help to build a solid core of a new deck, along with a prerelease-exclusive foil promo card. We'll get to see this new format put into action when I attend next month's Fates Collide prerelease tournament at my local Pokémon League at Heroes' Beacon in Saint John, New Brunswick.
