Pokémon Omega Ruby Rotation Team Building - Week #9
3It's time to for this week's Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Rotation Battles! In this battle format, you enter three Pokémon into battle at once, similar to a Triple Battle, except in this format, the three Pokémon stand atop a rotating platform. Only the Pokémon in the front spot can attack or be attacked, and each turn, you can freely rotate the platform around to bring up one of your other Pokémon and attack right away. This makes battles very difficult to predict - and very exciting when things go right! For an added level of challenge, as my Poké Transported Pokémon are not permitted to be used in ORAS Rating Battles, we'll be going into Free Battles, which brings the potential for a wide variety of mythical and legendary Pokémon to be used against us. Let's hope my Pokémon can stand their ground in the face of such awesome adversity!
For each team in the Rotation Battle series, I'll be choosing one Pokémon of mine that can Mega Evolve to take the role of team captain, and building the remainder of the team around them for type coverage. The team for this week shall be:
- Divebomb the (Mega) Gyarados • Ability: Intimidate/Mold Breaker • Item: Gyaradosite • Attacks: Dive, Iron Head, Bulldoze, Dragon Dance
- Cliff the Clefairy • Ability: Magic Guard • Item: Focus Sash • Attacks: Metronome, Toxic, Trick, Reflect
- Tails the Ninetales • Ability: Flash Fire • Item: Petaya Berry • Attacks: Overheat, Psyshock, Will-O-Wisp, Nasty Plot
- Pikachu • Ability: Static • Item: Light Ball • Attacks: Thunder, Body Slam, Thunder Wave, Light Screen
- Axl the Roserade • Ability: Poison Point • Item: Black Sludge • Attacks: Grass Knot, Dazzling Gleam, Venom Drench, Aromatherapy
- Witwicky the Chandelure • Ability: Flash Fire • Item: Air Balloon • Attacks: Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Hidden Power (Poison), Safeguard
