New Fusion Game Development (Read the Description)
THIS GAME IS NOT FUSION FIGHTERS, IT'S DIFFERENT. DATA WON'T TRANSFER, OBVIOUSLY. (Why would you expect data to transfer from a completely different game?)
I've had lots of problems with Fusion Fighters over the time I've worked on it, and those problems have made me not want to develop it anymore. The game will just never be polished enough for the front page, and the problems stem from lag and the way the game is structured as a whole.
I figured out a way to reuse the fusion mechanic, plus fix all the problems I've been having as well as add in the features that I wasn't able to before.
This game will be round based. Every round 3 people get picked to be in the fusion, and the other players must activate generators around the map that break the fusion apart. Fusion Fighters was too open to implement the following features, so I'll list the ones I plan on adding below.
New Features that are now possible due to this format:
- Fusions with Extra Body Parts (Not possible before because too many people could be in one fusion)
- Shared Control (Not possible before due to the last reason as well as lag issues)
- Fusion Dances (Not possible before since fusion needed to be fast. Dances will be a part of an opening cutscene)
- Structured Gameplay (Players won't have to worry about choosing a gamemode or not knowing what to do anymore)
List of problems this fixes
- Fusions don't have to be pushed out as fast, so I can make sure they look perfect before adding them in.
- Since fusion is only done at the start, I don't have to worry about players breaking the game by fusing and unfusing at bad times.
- Again, since fusion is only at the start before the round begins, there won't be any major lag so shared control works.
- Confusion about the lobby and it's portals in the original game, since everyone will be in one server again.
TLDR: This is NOT Fusion Fighters, data WILL NOT transfer. All of the new features I'm adding were NOT possible before, and this fixes a lot of the issues I was having. This game will most likely be updated in the future, since working with it isn't nearly as irritating.
