New Ghostrunner Gameplay | Bosses, Upgrades And Cyberspace Revealed

If you played the Ghostrunner demo on steam you’ll be familiar with the basics, but we’ve jumped into a longer build of the game. In this one the basic Ghostrunner enemies - the pistol guys - are joined by machinegunners, giant brutes and magic shields, turning the combat puzzle into something truly fiendish. We also whip along ziplines as we slowly climb the tower towards the villain at the top. When you aren’t climbing the real world in the cyberpunk Ghostrunner universe, you hop into cyberspace, where you learn more about the story and sort out upgrades, including a handy force push move. Our early Ghostrunner impressions from Gamescome were positive (watch them here: https://youtu.be/zeNk3VZ-D0I) but now we’re even more excited for the game.
For clarity’s sake, this isn’t a Ghostrunner review, just a preview based on a demo supplied to us by One More Level. We got to chat to the team about the new Ghostrunner gameplay, so can explain a bit more about collectibles and how the game will support the Ghostrunner speedrun community that sprouted out of the demo. As you’ll see from our footage we aren’t quite at that level yet, but we like the game doesn’t judge us for it. Ghostrunner release date is down as 2020, where it’ll come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
