2Hack the Planet! We play the new cyber espionage game, MAINLINING, and we use our hacking skills for good! In this Mainlining game gameplay video I play the first bit of the new cyber intelligence spy game. Mainlining starts off with a total system crash, and boots you into its fake computer environment. Its clearly a riff on Windows XP, and is totally awesome. I cannot believe that this hacking game, Mainlining game me some nostalgia feels, but it totally did.
I did not get very far into the actual gameplay for the new game, Mainlining before I totally shut down my recording of it when I was typing on the keyboard. Woops. Total biff on my part. So you guys all missed an additional 3 minutes of me being completely confused, and terrible at hacking.
The coolest parts of Mainlining are the "I'm on a computer, lol" aspects of it. The hacking is too hard for me, because I am the worst. But it honestly looks super interesting, and I wish I was btter at it.
Mainlining seems like its a pretty awesome, and fairly technical hacking sim game, and if thats your kind of thing, you should check it out! Oh, and I should mention that I got this review copy for free of Mainlining, but you know me, thats never stopped me before from calling a free game garbage (see my bloody boobs video for that)

Mainlining is a refreshing take on the traditional point and click adventure. The entire game takes place on the simulated desktop of the protagonist’s computer. Assuming the role of a newly recruited MI7 agent and working within the remit of the Blu Pill Act, the player must use their skill, judgement and cunningness to gather evidence by hacking suspects’ computers and phones.
As a MI7 operative your primary objectives are to ensure the perpetrator’s arrest and that the courts have sufficient evidence to hand out the longest custodial sentences possible. However, you’ll also have to make judgements on whether the case you're working on is complete. Move in too quickly and you may miss leads linking your case to much higher profile cyber-criminals. Act too slowly and your suspect may detect you and escape.
In excess of five hundred known criminals are known to operate within your jurisdiction, who will you investigate?
