T-REX KILLED ME!! New Dinosaur Survival Game, Collision Course | Dino Survival Like Ark! | CDPOG
Check out this new Dinosaur Survival Game, Collision Course!! In this Gameplay video for Collision Course, a Dinosaur Survival game like Ark, you can see me wander around the forests and swamps of Jurassic Park...basically.
Collision Course is a bare bones survival game that seems like a much more basic version of Ark. Much like Ark, you wake up on a strange island surrounded by prehistoric plants, and dinosaurs of course. Unlike Ark, there is no crafting, and the game is not multiplayer. And also, Collision Course seems to be designed as a more realistic game than Ark, with the surroundings much more drab, with lots of greens and browns.
In this gameplay video of Collision Course I wander around a bit, and eventually find a T-REX! The Tyrannosaur is eating another dino, and when I interrupt, he spits it out and decides he wants to eat me instead! Let's just say, fists are not awesome weapons against a T-Rex!
Collision Course is currently in Early Access on Steam, so to judge it harshly might be unfair. But lets be honest, its hard not to compare Collision Course (or any Survival game with Dinosaurs) directly to Ark. And when Ark was in early access, there was a lot more to do than in this game.
In collision course you are basically just given the directive to survive and look for parts of your ship. Thats it. That is not really enough structure to base a game on in my opinion.
The developers of the game, Cynosaurs, described the game like this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A comet is hurtling toward earth! Sneak, scavenge and blast your way through an immersive prehistoric world filled with Humans, Dinosaurs, Droids and Mother Nature’s fury!
After traveling back in time 70 million years and crash landing you'll need to try to return to your own time before disaster strikes. Fortunately, a lot of spaceship debris is littered about with weapons, gear and items to assist you along the way to ease the difficulties of the journey. As you progress you'll begin to unravel the circumstances that brought you there. However, you are up against your shipmates who will also be struggling to survive and make it home before the impending apocalypse arrives.
And of course, various dinosaur species will be roaming the landscape looking for their last meal, will it be you?
