Welcome back, Pokémon Trainers! It's time again for a weekly news update video!

- Once again, I've got three more Pokémon TCG booster packs to open up! Ancient Origins, BREAKthrough, and BREAKpoint, with the code cards (as always) going out to some lucky viewers. I'll open up the boosters near the end of the video, and give you viewers the Question of the Day for you to respond to. Leave your response in a comment down below using the hashtag #QOTD, and you'll be entered into the running to receive one of these code cards (chosen randomly) when I do the drawing this coming Sunday, February 21st.

- In honor of #Pokemon20, in Super Mario Maker, there's a special Pokémon-themed Event Course available. By clearing this course, you can unlock costumes of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle within the game!

- Splatoon is also getting in on the #Pokemon20 anniversary celebration. A special Pokémon-themed Splatfest is scheduled for February 20th at 1 AM Eastern Time until February 21st, 10 PM Eastern Time. You have until then to cast your vote at Inkopolis Plaza for which game you prefer - Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue! Choose votes wisely!

- In Pokémon Shuffle, several Special Stages are coming to a close tomorrow. Carnivine's Try 'Em Items stage lets you use all of your available items at no cost, so try them out and see what they do! Reshiram is also available in its own Special Stage as well. And in honor of the one-year anniversary of the release of Pokémon Shuffle, two Mythical Pokémon are available for capture: Shaymin in its Flying-type Sky Forme, and the Fairy-type Diancie! Diancie's stage is actually an Escalation Battle, where the stage level increases everytime you complete the match. The higher the level, the easier Diancie will be to capture. Along the way, you can obtain items by reaching specific levels - hit level 50 to obtain the Diancite! Diancie will be available until February 23rd, but the other Special Stages will be gone on February 16th.

- Also in Pokémon Shuffle, the current Online Competition is underway, ending on February 16th. Mega Abomasnow is the featured Pokémon this time around. Take a shot at scoring as high as you can to earn yourself a place on the leaderboards. By placing high, you'll obtain certain rewards. Ranking in at 26,000 or higher earns you 2 Attack Power Up items; 19,000 and higher will give you the Abomasite; and a rank of 3,700 or higher scores you the Abomasite plus a Mega Speedup item! If you don't rank high, you'll still obtain one Attack Power Up item just by participating, so there's nothing to lose!

- A new Mythical Pokémon has been discovered. Making its debut appearance in the next Pokémon animated movie expected to release in late 2016, Magearna already has the Pokémon community buzzing about its mysteries. Not much is known about this Pokémon outside of its Poké Ball-like appearance, but it's set to appear alongside another legendary Pokémon, Volcanion, when this movie premieres. Stay tuned for more info as it's revealed!

- The next Pokémon ORAS Online Competition has been announced, and I'm geared up for this one! The Kanto Classic is limited to just the first 149 Pokémon in the National Pokédex, a.k.a. Gen 1 minus Mewtwo and Mew. This competition will take place as a Single Battle 6 versus 6 match, with no held items permitted. This harkens us back to the days of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. Furthermore, in this competition, Pokémon do NOT need the blue pentagon to participate, meaning that Pokémon that have originated and traveled forward all the way from the Game Boy Advance are going to be permitted entry into this competition! The sign-up period runs from Thursday, February 26th to Thursday, March 3rd, and is limited to the first 50,000 participants. The competition period follows from Friday, March 4th to Sunday, March 6th. By battling in at least three matches, you'll earn the participation reward of Lance's Dragonite, a level 62 Dragonite with Inner Focus and a moveset of Agility, Slam, Hyper Beam, and Barrier - a move not normally obtainable by Dragonite, but which Lance's Dragonite somehow managed to learn back in Kanto!
