Pokémon Day Is Almost Here! TCG: Generations On The Way!
7Welcome back, Pokémon Trainers! It's time again for a weekly news update video!
- Once again, I've got some Pokémon TCG booster packs to open up! XY base set and Flashfire, with the code cards (as always) going out to some lucky viewers. I'll open up the boosters near the end of the video, and give you viewers the Question of the Day for you to respond to. Leave your response in a comment down below using the hashtag #QOTD, and you'll be entered into the running to receive one of these code cards (chosen randomly) when I do the drawing this coming Sunday, February 28th.
- Pokémon Day is coming up fast! Saturday, February 27th marks the official 20th anniversary of the initial release of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green versions in Japan. There is a LOT of stuff planned to celebrate the big day, so check out the Pokémon website for all the info!

- There are only two days left to pop into your local GameStop (if you're in the United States) and pick up your code card to receive the Mythical Pokémon Mew! - The results of the Pokémon-themed Splatoon Splatfest are in, and while Pokémon Red version appeared to be the most popular choice, Pokémon Blue has taken home the victory!
- The special Pokémon TCG expansion, Generations, is now available! You can find random booster packs of this new expansion inside special collections throughout the year in celebration of #Pokemon20.
- On Pokémon Day, the re-releases of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow will become available for purchase and download to your Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console via the Nintendo eShop. Now is your chance to finally experience the classic days of Pokémon on Game Boy!
- Registration for the upcoming Pokémon ORAS Online Competition, the Kanto Classic, opens up this Thursday, February 25th. Participation is limited to the first 50,000 participants, so register ASAP! For full details on the regulations of this competition, click the link below.

- The Pokkén Tournament hype is building ever higher as we near the game's March release date. On Pokémon Day, GameStop stores in eight select cities throughout the United States (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, San Fransisco, and Seattle) will be hosting Pokkén Tournament Early Access Competitions, where you'll get your first chance to play this new fighting game ahead of the crowd! Plus, if you come out of this competition as one of the top players, you'll win a trip to attend the Pokémon US National Championships this July in Columbus, Ohio!
