New Pet Charms in BfA! WoW Dev Interview with Jeremy Feasel and Frank Kowalkowski
1,265Interviewing members of the WoW dev team at Blizzard about Island Expeditions, Pet Battles in BfA and more! I got a chance to sit down with Jeremy Feasel (Senior Game Designer) and Frank Kowalkowski (Assistant Technical Director) at Blizzard to chat about what's coming our way in BfA. We talked about the Island Expedition AI and the potential of Island Expedition leaderboards/esports, as well as how Azerite gear fills the need of combat bonuses unlocked between level 110 and 120 as you level up in Battle for Azeroth. I asked about Paragon Rep Caches and Mounts in BfA, Shoulder Boons in BfA and professions in Battle for Azeroth.
On the battle pet side, Jeremy shared what pet battle content to expect in BfA such as pet dungeons and achievements, as well as some awesome potential future directions we could see battle pet customization headed with new tech that was established in Legion. Most surprising to me was the mention of a brand new Pet Charm for BfA, with most likely a new set of rewards. He also confirmed new types of battle pet mechanics (without mentioning any specifics).
This is my very first interview so please forgive the audio quality! If I ever have another opportunity to make more content like this I've learned some lessons for next time.
