To those who are serious about latency of any kind in their games, RetroArch offers many solutions to combat this. Whether it is GPU Hard Sync for OpenGL mode, frame delay, adjustable audio latency, adjustable input polling behavior, and/or lowering the maximum amount of swapchain images, you can drive down any perceived latency to a stunning degree in RetroArch.

To this end, we have now added yet another feature which could be of great benefit to you in order to further reduce latency. Previously on PC, the Sinc resampler would default to 'normal' quality settings. There are a couple of quality levels -

Don't Care - the resampler will default to whatever is the norm on your platform
Lowest - the lowest quality levels, but potentially the lowest audio latency and highest performance. Uses Lanczos for resampling. This is the default on 3DS/Vita/PSP and other low-powered handhelds.
Lower - lower quality levels than normal, but lower audio latency and higher performance. Uses Lanczos for resampling. This is the default on Android and iOS.
Normal - default quality settings. Uses Kaiser for resampling. This is the default on PC.
Higher - higher quality settings than normal. Uses Kaiser for resampling.
HIghest - highest quality settings. Uses Kaiser for resampling.

You can make a concerted tradeoff by either going lower or higher than the normal default settings. Either you can prioritize performance and lower audio latency or you prefer the highest possible audio quality as a result of the resampling process. The choice is up to you, as with so many things in RetroArch!
