In this new game dev log video I dive deep into the development of my latest tower defense game for Steam! I'll walk you through some crucial gameplay elements and the strategic depth I'm adding to enhance players experience. We'll look at our defense mechanism the keep, which you must protect at all costs with its limited hit points while also demonstrating our new spell bar functionality where you can activate attacks with a simple press of the space bar and discuss how I plan to integrate item based cooldown modifications.
I also created a button to show towers range capabilities a fundamental feature in any tower defense game. I'll also introduce you to the auto attack mode which simplifies combat allowing you to focus more on strategy and tower placement. Additionally I'll give you a sneak peek into the new inventory system I'm coding inspired by World of Warcraft which will store items permanently for strategic use.
