NVIDIA plans to launch its "Super"-branded RTX fifty series graphics cards by the fourth quarter of two thousand twenty-five. This refresh aims to provide more VRAM at the same Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs) as their non-Super counterparts. The move seeks to enhance the value proposition for consumers and address market conditions.

Specifically, the RTX fifty seventy Super is expected to retail at five hundred forty-nine dollars, offering eighteen gigabytes of GDDR seven VRAM, a fifty percent increase from its predecessor, alongside a slight boost in CUDA cores to six thousand four hundred. Its Total Graphics Power (TGP) is projected at two hundred seventy-five watts. The RTX fifty seventy Ti Super is rumored for seven hundred forty-nine dollars with twenty-four gigabytes of GDDR seven VRAM at thirty Gigabits per second, but without an increase in Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) or CUDA cores, with a three hundred fifty-watt TGP. Similarly, the RTX fifty eighty Super is also expected with twenty-four gigabytes of GDDR seven VRAM at thirty-two Gigabits per second and a four hundred fifteen-watt TGP, also without additional SMs or CUDA cores.

This strategic refresh responds to observed low sales and an oversupply of current RTX fifty series models, particularly the memory-limited RTX fifty seventy. NVIDIA's initiative looks to stimulate demand and regain market traction in a competitive landscape where VRAM capacity has become a significant selling point for consumers.

From a user perspective, this offers more memory for demanding applications and games without a price increase. However, the lack of core count increases on some higher-end Super models means the primary upgrade is memory, which may not appeal to everyone seeking raw computational power. This push to provide enhanced memory configurations highlights market demands for more robust specifications at existing price points, while also presenting NVIDIA's response to its current inventory and sales challenges.
