New Years Event and Unlocking Level 5 on the Same DAY! - Return From Core

I was getting ready to record this episode with the play of just reaching level 5 when the moment I wanted to click play an update popped up. Turns out the devs added a small New Year's event. When killing any enemy they have a small chance to drop 1 of 3 different fireworks. So we get all of them first which are “Happy New Year”, “Vigor and Vitality”, and “Forever and Ever”.
After messing around with those we head back to core town to continue the main story quest. We meet up with Simon, a researcher that betrays our brother Carl however, at this moment our character is unaware of this and he tells us Carl has died. If that news wasn't bad enough the moment we leave the lab we get arrested for not having an ID and get thrown in jail. The mayor of the town bails us out as she hears of our accomplishments including saving the people stuck deeper in the core of the earth. She asks us to deliver a sealed letter to the head of the explores guild. In this letter, it is revealed that she wants to reinstate the search for blueprints on level 5. The previous mayor blew up the passage as the last expedition team immediately lost contact with home base upon arriving there and later came back as mutated monsters to attack core town. We get full access to the drill and it is our duty to drill through the debris and reach level 5. Upon arriving in this messed up looking location we noticed a signal coming from somewhere in the area which should not be possible since we should be the only one who have control over this drill.
