Nier: Automata - a secret? or a bug? (spoiler warning)
115If I go to the Intel-menu and read up on a certain android character, a picture will flash on the screen very quickly. Could be intentional, but it could also be a bug. Has anyone else noticed this?
(I didn't find any info about it around the web, so I made a video just in case. Also, in case it matters, I've cleared C & D endings, but not E, and the clips were recorded in a few different places around the game using Chapter select. Also, this is the unpatched version.)
The picture is different depending on what I've been doing in the game some minutes prior to opening the menu. If I fully restart the game before doing this, the picture is completely black. Otherwise, the pictures may look like screenshots of my recent activities in the game, with some slight glitchiness present too.
Perhaps it's actually some uncleared visual buffer that flashes on the screen momentarily? Although I have no idea why.
0:45 - these last two pictures are the most glitchy that I've got. Before the last picture I had played the Arcade hacking mini-games for a bit, explaining the presence of colored dots.
