There is some really interesting stuff here for anyone that is interested in how Night Trap came to exist, and in the firestorm of controversy that surrounded its release (making sales skyrocket!). It's incredible that of all games, this one was one of the biggest scapegoats driving the creation of the ESRB (if he hadn't already long since dead by1992, I would've sworn Joe McCarthy was involved). Mortal Kombat, sure, but Night Trap? Clearly a lot of people needed to learn how to do research. And Howard Lincoln was both a genius and a tool according to the clip of him here.
I love that there was so much extra material like this included with the game - it really feels like a love letter to the original. Behind the Scenes looks are always fun. And listening to Jim Riley about the lengths they went to to make the game "friendly" had me laughing out loud - it's hysterical listening to the way he describes what the Augs had become at Hasbro's behest.
If you are looking for Scene of the Crime, that will be posted in a different video. You really didn't think I'd leave you hanging like that, did you? ;)
