Scene of the Crime (Night Trap Prototype) PC Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthrough of Scene of the Crime, the Night Trap prototype included with Screaming Villains' 2017 PC release of Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition.
It's pretty short and basic, as you might expect of a prototype of a game designed for a prototype of a system that was never released. It's easy to see how this eventually became Night Trap - the concept is extremely similar, even if the game play is much simpler and less interactive. You really gotta love the 80s clothes and hair, and some of the lines are sooooo corny. And the fact that this millionaire controls his security system with what is quite plainly an Atari 2600 joystick (remember, this was filmed in 1986 -
the Atari 2600 was still sold in stores!).
Now, if only all games included things that were this awesome as bonuses... well, I'd probably look at bonus things more often.
0:12 Natural playthrough of the game with the good ending
4:40 A collection of all of the FMV used in Scene of the Crime
Good for watching if you want to keep up with what's going on
instead of trying to win the game. Every video stream that the
game runs has been collected here, sorted by room. The place-
holder images when no video is active have been cut out for
better viewing.

18:00 A clip filmed in December 1986 of some Hasbro corporate execs of trying out Scene of the Crime. This segment wasn't included with the 25th Anniversary Edition of Night Trap. I recorded it from the 1992 Sega CD version, where it was included as a hidden bonus. I thought it's inclusion here was appropriate, considering that this is the first time SotC has ever been made publicly available.
