Nightmare Creatures - Cartridge Authentication & Manual
RANKING: C-
It's a horror 3rd-person action game. Make your way through 20 levels to be the game. You have 2 characters that use mainly melee weapons, with some other subweapons. Using block is critical to win against some of the enemies, the block is like Street Fighter 1, you don't lose health when hit (with few exceptions).
Some guy named Adam Crowley, Brotherhood of Hecate, has released a pandemic of monsters on London, back in 1834 and you as Nadia or Ignatius must stop him.
Controls are fucked up, you can't customize them the way you want them. The strafing is set to Up & Right "C"; as a oppose to Left & Right "C". It has the Resident Evil tank controls, but unfortunately the camera isn't fixed nor following your back. Unlike Castlevania 64, where you can change it so the camera is always behind you, here it's like Castlevania 64s "NORMAL" view where the camera stays forward and only follows after you make a BIG turn. The draw-distance is really short. People complained about Turok and other games about that, and those games I didn't have problem with the draw distance, but this one I do, it's really short and hard to see what's coming and where to go. It could of been to make the game scarier, but it doesn't work here.
With the camera and controls, I think this is a mediocre game, but at least it's short. But make sure you keep your lives stocked high before saving, because those act as you check points in the level. So with one life, you have to beat a level without dying.
