This is the last game in the series, the other ones where on Turbografx-16 and NES. This series is a point-and-click game, but for this game they made it in a first-person view where you can move around the 3D space of Castle of Shadowgate. Just because it takes place in first-person, doesn't mean it's a shooter. There is no combat here, it's all about exploring and solving puzzles. There is only 1 enemy that can hurt you, otherthan him, only traps and falls can hurt you.

You play as Del Cottonwood, a halfling, captured by bandits and imprisoned at Castle Shadowgate, must escape and stop the evil Warlock Lord.

I recommend it, it's a first-person puzzle game, as oppose to a shooter. It has a deep story if you read the in game text books.
