Thus I present to you all,

Nightshade: Kunoichi

Built upon everything that made Shinobi on PS2 great, Nightshade ups everything. The controls feel a lot more solid, better grip of the character, better camera angle and so on. Only negative is that you no longer get to keep the long snazzy scarf. HOWEVER, you can still unlock Hotsuma in Nightshade, though I don't remember how. There's also two other characters, one being the classic - Joe Musashi, from the Sega originals!

Not a bad game by any means but it most certainly have a learning curve to it.
