I was incredibly fortunate to be brought on to Nimona at the very beginning (back in late 2016). I was already a big fan of @gingerhazing ’s comic, and I got to spend 3+ years helping to shepherd and develop this character, under then director @posborne, alongside an outstanding team of artists at Blue Sky — I have a lot of love for this character, and despite the film’s complicated journey, I’m very happy to see her out in the world…

This was one of the first physicality tests with the official asset once Jin and I got Nimona’s rig in working order. This essentially became our “Big Hero Chair Test”, we had each of the primary characters exiting a castle/fortress in a completely different state of mind and physicality. Nimona of course would be casual, even with her arm on fire and give a little salute on her way out… the rest are just a few iterations of early run cycles
