Left is a potential re-route. Right is what we normally do.

Left is /technically/ faster but only by a few frames. If the monkey next to the drawbridge sees you and runs about or you don't catch him out of the aircrawl then you've already lost your time save. I was really hoping you could squeeze out a jump to skip the water but I don't think it's happening. I also tested swimming back to land instead of climbing onto the drawbridge or even catching the monkey before lowering the drawbridge in the first place, but both are definitely slower.

I don't think this is worth tbh, but glad to say I've investigated and documented it
