After delaying the release of Ninjala by a month, GungHo Online Entertainment will once again invite Switch players to test their multiplayer action game as part of an open beta. The appointment is made for May 31.
Regarding Europe, we will have more specific access to this beta on May 31 from 12h to 21h59. Its content has not been specified, but we are promised more details soon.

The developers also spoke in a 4th video "developer diary" to discuss the economic model of the game and its microtransactions. Before going into details, they point out that this is free-to-play, and that a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is therefore not necessary to play online. They also ensure that we are not in the presence of a "pay-to-win", but of a title where "your talents determine your success"
The microtransactions will be cosmetic in nature, with a currency in play (called Jala) to be purchased for real money on the eShop. Ninjala will operate on a principle of seasons lasting between 8 and 10 weeks, each seasonal update bringing its share of new weapons, arenas and features. A paying "Ninjala Pass" (priced 950 Jala) will unlock a hundred rewards (costumes, emotes, stickers, Jala ...) by crossing objectives or levels of experience. By completing it, players will get more than 950 Jala and will therefore be able to buy the next Pass at no additional cost.
The in-game store will also offer items that change daily as well as a "Gumball Machine", based on the principle of loot boxes, to obtain appearances of weapons by spending Jala or Ninja medals obtained over the course of the games. These are also used to buy or improve skills in the form of Shinobi Cards and places to equip them.
